Captain Action 2 2 8 12 35 It came in low and slow, skimming over the ground as it approached the arena.  It was Big Scary Flying Bot!  Here from the land of monster bots to enact revenge for all the punishment his bretheren had been taking.  Gladiator9 raised it's weapon in salute, and then popped open a can O' whup-ass on it.  gladiator9, now a two-time winner, doesn't have time for such silliness.  There's endorsement contracts to sign, and movie deals to be made!  Rock on gladiator9!  You bad!  You bad!

n2:
The Doctor Goes to work
again.  Shop bot Ace
gets its arms taken
away.  Hopefully, it will
have them returned after
the tourney is over.  :)
[2]
n2:
gladiator9 went straight for CP's left elbow, taking it off.
He then went for the other one and got it too.  Christ, it
just sucks to be me.  It certainly reinforces why gladiator9
c4 is one of the top bots.  And why my stupid bot should be
tossed on the scrap heap.
[3]
n2:
All kidding aside, I really think
gladiator9 is about the smartest
fighter around.  Not one stacked
joint in the bot.  It's simply about
position and accuracy.  Some
newer people might consider this
a snooze-fight, but the oldsters
will really appreciate what's
going on here.  This was a stylie
fight all the way. ;)
[4]
n2:
Center Punch 6 comes
out, um, poking.  Seems
I still have some move
problems.  Oh well, while
he doesn't plow a Wing
Chun punch right into TK
Axeman, he does
manage to poke
axeman's unprotected
head.
[5]
n2:
I won't tell about this
one.  The suspense was
absolutely killing me when
watching it the first time.
Awesome!
[6]
n2:
Some new moves from
Trinny preserve it's energy.
Seems I could learn a lesson
from it.
[7]
n2:
Warder, always a cruel
bot, plays with Yes Man
for some time before
finally killing it outright.
[8]
n2:
Rock on, and good fight!
[9]
n2:
Well this was abrupt.  A
nine-second fight.
SharpEdge needs more
head armor.  Well, I sure
know how you feel this
time ROBO.
[10]
n2:
This was quick and
violent.
[11]
n2:
The gorilla had the reach
advantage, but came in
too close.  Charger took
off the gorilla's arms.
[12]
n2:
This was brutal.  Charger
caught strongarm in the
chassis the same way its
brother got my Oscar…
A sword slipped inside
the shielding on
Strongarm, and both
arms came off.  It would
have been a good time
for Strongarm to run for
it, but it apparantly has
no self-preservation
code.  Without arms, it
was a sitting duck.
[13]
n2:
The gorilla comes out with ferocious
attack here, taking off the Russians
weapon in short order.  Guro's smart
AI saves it for another day.
[14]
n2:
A nice poke from bot 1468
disarmed Dark Knight.
[15]
n2:
Even the smallest piece
of armor on bot 1468's
head would have given it
the win.
[16]
n2:
This looked like it was going to be a come from behind
win for Mrs Luke, but it ran out of ENERGY!  It had
repeated opportunites on Microbellator's back, but just
didn't have the juice to do anything about it.
[17]
n2:
Holy Crap!  You HAVE to
see this!  Talk about a
lightning strike!  Charger
enacted a perfect
horizontal slice right
through Destroyers torso
joint!  Charger was flat-
footed, and Destroyer
was mid-stride.
[18]
n2:
Jeez!  This is a wallystomper of a fight!  Oscar didn't lose any
shields or weapons, but took horrible chassis hits.  Charger lost
both arms, it's sensor, and all but one energy.  Oscar just didn't
have the energy to finish the job!  Sheesh, I must be taking
lessons from Big Jobs in under-powered bot designs.  :(
[19]
n2:
I just realized that this is
the first time that these
two bots have fought, no?
Microbellator could
have one, but didn't have the
energy.  Seems to be the
theme for this tourney.
[20]
n2:
Jumpin Jehosephat!  This is a humanoid ATG for sure!  Shivan Swordsman was leading the match almost the whole way.  It only got in
trouble when it lifted both swords and pressed in.  Keeping at least one
down at all times would have cinched it!  Anyway, the Swordsman was
nullifying Destroyer's attack most of the time.  After getting through
Destroyers chest shield, there just wasn't enough time left to catch up.
Destroyer got a last minute deadlock that helped it get away.  Bravo!
[21]
n2:
It's weird really…  Destroyer
tries so hard for the elusive
chassis kill, but it's just too
deadly sometimes.
[22]
n2:
Hard match to call.
Scissors put up a good
fight, but SharpEdge
kept getting shielding hits
on Scissors.
[23]
n2:
Ned was leading at the
beginning, but took some
damage from backing into
the arena wall.
[24]
n2:
Believe it!  I had to check
the debugger on this one
to figure out what the
hell was happening.  It's
funny, and all good.
Sharpedge just beat the
crap out of Charger.
Hows it feel, ROBO-
Comm.?
[25]
n2:
Looks like the new Running
Withscissors can move!  It
loses energy quickly though.
[26]
n2:
Chassis kill?  Rock on
Oscar!
[27]
n2:
Well, that was quick.  I
started the fight, and
then switched to excel to
work on rollover points.
After only about a minute,
the replay started.  Well,
that was it.  I KNEW that
Oscar got trounced, because
there was no way Oscar
could have beaten gladiator9
that fast.  But watching the
replay still shocked me.  There is simply no other bot
yet as accurate as gladiator9.  Good kill, Kent!
[28]
n2:
I wanted to make a tougher monster bot.  BSFT it tough, but has a weak attack.  It's goal is
to wear down the opponent's weapons.  Do dice here.  Gladiator9 showed that it had no fear.
