Captain Action 2 2 2 6 38 Tis a great day in gladiator land, as once again a new champion is crowned!  BOOMER now has three 41k bots!  Woe and misery to any who oppose him and his army of champions!  Now might be a good time to get on his good side, by sending a nice card or fruit basket...  The Orgre proves no match for Destroyer, who makes short work of it.  The monsters demand new representation!  What will be waiting at the end for the next champion?

n2:
With a longer run-up,
RWS could have taken
Charger out at the torso.
Charger wasn't going to
just stand there and
take it though, and set
it's attack mode on
"frenzy".
[2]
n2:
The new 50kw Charger
has shielding in all the
right places now.
Dawnbot just can't stop
it.
[3]
n2:
Scissors needs to pick up
more speed before the
hit.  Trinny runs out of
energy and becomes
helpless.
[4]
n2:
Nice fight!  Ant just kept
his distance.  I was
worried that Swordsman
would take him off at the
waist, but was saved by
the deadlock.
[5]
n2:
Good movement fight.
Axeman puts up some
good blocks.
Until the one it misses.
[6]
n2:
This one was a blast!  A
true "fight" instead of
what looks to be a
tourney filled with
slaughters.  These two
were just AT IT the
whole match!  Something
to be said for bots that
have plenty of energy.
[7]
n2:
I dig this fight.  As I've
said before, Ant isn't a
good killer anymore, but
he has become a better
fighter.  There's a difference.  Like a boxer
who tries to wear down
his opponant instead of
going for a knock-out.
[8]
n2:
This fight was all over the
arena.  Ant has a
problem when his upper
arm gets caught:  his
lower arm will fold into
the torso.  One of these
days he's going to
explode from the SC. :(
[9]
n2:
This is a fun fight!  Lots
of action!
[10]
n2:
You gotta hand it to
guro:  His movement is
tops.  His weapon and
attack are going to be
trouble as well.
[11]
n2:
This is the first fight
today to actually make
me yell out loud!  I really
Thought the Swordsman
would be toast.  Shows
what I know.  The
Swordsman  held
Microbellator off at long
range and then picked
him apart.  The final
catch under Micro's shoulder had me holding
my breath:  Aw man, you
GOTTA see this fight!  It
had me yelling "Wooooo!"
But then, I'm kind of a
fan of this stuff.
[12]
n2:
This fight ROCKED!
There was so much
swordplay and parrying
going on.  Shiva's Orient
would not let the Russian
get around behind.  It
then turned into a matter
of weapon position.  The
swordsman had the edge
of being able to attack
while parrying Frigid
Russian's attack.  One
disappointment is the lack
of self-preservation code
in Frigid Russian: It just
gives up.  It could have
ran and fought in the
second elimination
rounds.
[13]
n2:
Dark Knight came out
hitting hard, but it was
style that won the day.
Even missing an arm, the
Swordsman found the
Knight's controller with a deadly thrust.
[14]
n2:
Microbellator is EVIL!  It's
got a slick paint job to
boot!  This bot has such
a vicious attack method.
Pity any bot that gets
too close...
[15]
n2:
Looks like Microbellator
is dialed in for the kill
now.  It likes to get in
REALLY close.  Would be
cool to see a match
between this and the
dwarven Swordsman.
[16]
n2:
Jobs gets a controller kill
at 180 seconds!!!
Argggggggg!!!
[17]
n2:
gladiator9 got right down
to business.
[18]
n2:
The Doctor will always be
a top, deadly bot.
[19]
n2:
This was a grueling fight!
Warder came SO close to
a controller kill at the
end!  Dark Hug lives to
fight again!
[20]
n2:
Great fight!  A real slugfest.  Expect to see
100kw shield charger
tearing it's way through
the second tree.
[21]
n2:
You REALLY want to see
this fight?  Aw gimme a
break…  Ned's the
second worst humanoid
in the tourney vs one of
the best.  It's a snooze-a
-thon…  Too bad.  I got
REAL fights to record. :p
[22]
n2:
Turn about!  Warder was
behind on points the
whole match, but then
jumped ahead in the last
20 seconds!  The grudge
lives on!
[23]
n2:
This is a real head-
scratcher….
[24]
n2:
The gorilla ran out of energy at a bad time.
I thought it was about to
win...
[25]
n2:
This was a close fight,
but Dark Hug kept
getting in good body
shots.
[26]
n2:
No recording because PK
Predator won.  It wasn't
until watching the fight
that I noticed that PK
Predator is illegal!  He
has a weapon on the
torso.  Weapons may be
on the arms only.  Sorry
to catch this so late!  I
hope it will be fixed for
next time!
[27]
n2:
SAVAGE mauling.  Dark
Hug really puts up a
great fight here, but it's
just not enough.
[28]
n2:
Classic match between
subtle style and barbaric
fury.  Barbaric fury won.
[29]
n2:
Much different fight this
time!  Charger must have
had a grudge about the
R1 loss, because it
Mauled Warder this time!
[30]
n2:
Dark Hug gets a kill when
the sides are reversed.
[31]
n2:
Warder just beats,
pounds, hammers, and
pummels on Trinny.  And
Trinny takes it.  Amazing
toughness, even for a
loss.
[32]
n2:
This was a classic position
and parry match.  While
not as frantic as some
others, I can tell you that
I was on the edge of my
seat, since I knew the AI
that was brewing under
Ant's hood.  Antiquites
stayed at long range and
let Destroyer burn up its
energy.  But then
Destroyer was also
playing it very smart,
Watching it's energy,
keeping it's defenses up.
In the end, Ant just
couldn't get a decent
come-back shot in.  Good
show BOOMER!
[33]
n2:
Someone call the Police!
There's been a mugging!
[34]
n2:
While watching this fight,
I suddenly realized how
far we have come in the
betterment of humanoid
fighters.  These two bots
WAIL on each other, with
as much fury and energy
as you would expect
from any ranked battle.
Great fight!  Long live the
Humanoids!
[35]
n2:
I can't remember EVER
seeing gladiator9 (or 8)
get destroyed!  Holy
cow!  This was BRUTAL!
[36]
n2:
OK now.  This was evil
sneaky poop!  Destroyer
pulled a missus vs 50kw
Charger (after removing
it's arms!), but then
stopped his cheering and
went back and attacked!
WTF?  So I looked at the
code.  Well I'll be
dammed.  He purposely
set it to stop missus in
the last 15 seconds!  The
fink!  Any way, I gave
the fight a special ending
message, just for him!
Hope you like it BOOMER!
